Day to Night

The objective of this project was to depict the same location during the day and at night. Seeing as I was at Providence, Rhode Island at the time, I chose to depict the city's canal. During the day, the canal is generally quite relaxed in nature, with people chatting by the water and riding boats. At night, however, I showed what occurs when the city's infamous Waterfire occurs and how crowded and lively the area gets.

Both pieces were done with charcoal and india ink on Stonehenge paper.
