The Bones Left Behind

(2021)

Collaborators: Amanda Cheung, Jillian Flippin

This project addressed how COVID impacted local businesses such as restaurants that were once full of life. To illustrate this concept, we designed two wearable components: a light switch and a restaurant. During pre-COVID times (when the light switch is on), restaurants were bustling with people, full of life. The fairy lights were designed in the shape of a human heart and emit light in a pulsatile manner. After COVID (when the light switch is off), all the life is gone and all that's left is the infrastructure.
