Hello!
I'm an artist and biomedical engineer, born and raised in Tokyo and Hong Kong, and then trained at the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins. I blend my technical training with my passion for art and design. My love for art shaped my engineering focus in medical technology innovation, and engineering has served as a tool to push the boundaries of my art. I have created a diverse range of artwork, including medical illustrations, 3D animations, digitally fabricated sculptures, and public art.
However, much of my work is non-scientific and random. I enjoy capturing details of everyday beauty in my illustrations, to building whimsical and silly projects. I find joy in experimenting with new techniques and am continuously evolving as an artist.

Displayed and sold two of my eye drawings, "Winter Eye" and "Enrapture", the latter of which was the selected cover art for the exhibition.
Johns Hopkins Medical Student Research Symposium: Art Exhibit | February 2025
Displayed at the annual MSRS (Medical Student Research Symposium) at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where I served as the Clinical Research Artist. Illustrated a piece on the glymphatic system in a sleep-deprived environment.
Eyes of Michigan: Michigan Art in the Legislature | October 2023 - October 2024
Displayed at the Michigan House of Representatives through the Michigan Art in the Legislature Program, which showcases student artwork from universities throughout the state of Michigan.
UMich Arts Engine Science as Art: The Fractals In Us | February 2024
For the annual Science as Art competition, students submit an art piece about a scientific concept. My artwork "The Fractals In Us" depicted angiogenesis. Won an "Honorable Mention" award.

For the annual Science as Art competition, students submit an art piece about a scientific concept. My artwork "Playing With the Heartstrings" detailed sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve stimulation of the heart. Won "Best in Category" for the Interactive Art division.
